Braves swap first basemen with redsoxs

Today before the trade deadline Atlanta traded 1B Casey Kotchman for old Braves slugger Adam Laroache. I like this trade offensivley but defensivley Kotchamn hadn't made an error so i didn't like that trade. But Adam might play for ATL tommorow.

Braves win and lead series 2 to 1

Last night the Braves went to Colorodo and won 4 to 3 spirts riding high as Ryan Church made his Brabes debut. He went 0 for 4 with and RBI and the RBI came with the bases loaded on a shot that Ian Stewart robbed at the wall or else Church would have been 1 for 4 with an double that would have scored two which would have given the Braves a 5 to 3 win instead of a 4 to 3 win. Today at 3 ATL takes on the Rockies in the seriees finale looking to win and take series 3 to 1 and to be a .5oo record wise at the all star break.

Braves Mets swap players

Tonight Atlanta made the move and sent Right Fielder Jeff Francouer to the Mets and Right Fielder Ryan Church to the Braves. This move was sudden and odd since it was a trade inside the division but at the same time it will be good aqquiring Church as he is having a great season batting .280. I could go either way on this trade as I will miss Frenchy and his fielding arm, agressive batting and being a hometown hero. But I look forward to seeing Church play as he will start tommorow at 7:30 for pregame.
