Braves win against Cubs to tie series
last night Atlanta came back and won after losing the opener. Brian Mccan had a RBI double and sinlge to Power the Braves over the cubs 2 t0 1. Javey Vazquez had a great night and picked up the win as the Braves pull ahead of the Mets!

Atlanta loses series opener
Last night on ESPN Atlanta battled the Cubs but lost despite a 3 for 5 night from Nate Mclouth with a homerun his 14th and a great diving play by Yunel Escobar Atlanta lost 4 to 2 and looks to win tonight against the cubs.

Braves lose as Nats take series 2 to 1
Today Atlanta tried to take 2 of 3 from the Nationals but didn't. Atlanta lost 5 to 3 as Lowe pitched 5 and one third. The bullpen was better today as they gave up one run and Atlantas runs were on a Chipper Jones RBI flyout scoring Nate Mclouth and on a Nate Mclouth two run homer. Tommorow Atlanta plays Chicago at 8:oo and the game is on ESPN. Though Atlanta has hopes with Matt Diaz as he went 2 for 4 with a double and is hitting around .6oo in his last 8.

Braves end winning streak at 5
Today Atlanta led the Nationals 3 to 0 by RBI singles from Mclouth, Jones, and Anderson. Then Hanson gave up a homerun to Adam Dunn and was taken out of the game. This was a stupid move by Bobby Cox as the Nats erupted off of pitches from the Braves pen. Atlanta is now 39 and 41 and Derek Lowe is on the bump tommorow for Atlanta in the series finale at 1:oo.

Braves win first game of roadtrip
Atlanta trys to extend their win streak to five games and they did it. Nate Mclouth returned to the lineup and was 1 for 6 with a single but is good he is back. Atl's 2 for 6 hitters were 11 for 18 against the Nationals in a 9 to 8 game. Tommorow Atlanta plays at 1:oo and Tommy Hanson who is 4 and 0 starts tommorow for the streaking Braves.

Braves complete sweep of the Phils
Tonight Atlanta finished the sweep of the Philidephia Phillies and won 5 to 2. Casey Kotchman and Garret Anderson went yard for the braves as Rafel Soriano picked up his 7th save. Yunel Escobar had a diving and grab and Martin Prado made the game ending catch falling on the tarp. Nate Mclouth is excpected to return to the line up this week as Atlanta goes to play the slumping

Streaking Braves
Still with out Mclouth or Escobar the Braves take it to the Phillies and win 11 to 1 giving Jair Jurjiens his sixth win. Jair gave up only 2 hits and no hitter was broken up in the 6th. Diory Hernandez had his first major leauge homerun and Matt Diaz also went yard. ATL looks to sweeop the Phils tommorow and are 3 games out of first.
