Braves win again, Kawakami detained his first win due to bad call

The Braves came in with a broom ready to sweep the Pittsburgh Pirates. Troy Glaus started off the action with a sacrifice fly to give ATL a 1 to 0 lead. Thats really all Kawakami needed. Needing a win Kenshin showed off his stuff until the dreaded 7th. On a 1-2 count Kawakami struck out Garret Jones and the home plate umprie called him out. A second later the third base umpire came in saying Jones fouled it off. It was an awful call as clearley he had missed it. So Jones retried the at-bat and walked. Next Jeff Clement hit a 2 run homer to tie the game. After Kawakami came out we went to the 8th. Mclouth started off the action with a walk and stolen base as Brian Mccan followed with a walk. Next Prado struck out, but then Chipper Jones hit a bloop single that scored Mclouth. Then J-Hey hit a 2 run triple. A 5 to 2 score was more than Wagner needed. He struck out Dewlyn Young first, poppedf up Garret Jones, and then got Bobby Crosby to fly out. Wagner picked up his 7th save and Takashi Saito the great set up pitcher got his first win. Kawakami was frustrated with the bad call but happy with his performance and hopes to bid for his first win on Friday. Tommorow after a sweep of the pittsburgh pirates the Braves (27-22) will face a stuggling Phillies club as Tommy Hanson (4-3) gets the ball and will face Joe Blanton (1-3). Atlanta is half a game out of first and if they sweep the Phillies they will lead the NL East by 2.5 games!
